This month Provo Craft is having two Magazine challenges. For this challenge you were to use 3 Imaginesce products and 4 Cricut Cuts. I knew right away I had this cute Imaginesce paper I had bought because I knew it would be great with Create a Critter. So I used the following papers - Mushroom Fancy, Critter Chatter, and Hey Foxy. I also used the Itop to make 3 flower buttons and the I rock for the gems on flowers and butterflies. I tried to duplicate the animals on the paper with the cute little animals on Create a Critter cartridge. Took a lot of time but I am really happy with the way it turned out. Hope you like it! Several recent Listserv postings alerted us about a neighborhood flower thief and provided a description of a possible suspect - a short, white male, about 60 years old with wavy salt and pepper hair. Someone, perhaps the same individual, made his/her annual visit to the Newark Street Community Garden in the past two days, stealing some 50 peony stems from several garden plots, stripping bushes clean of all stems with flowers and or buds. It is difficult to understand how this person goes unnoticed, walking thru the gardens located between the 2nd District Police Station and the Newark Street dog park, a children's playground, and across the street from the McLean Gardens condos, where people are out and about at all hours, especially early in the morning walking their dogs -- which is when we suspect the thief appears.
One McLean Gardens resident has seen a man fitting the given description leaving the community garden, arms loaded with flowers. The previous Listserv postings sited the same man in various neighborhood locations including the Glover Park trail behind McLean Gardens, walking with armloads of unwrapped flowers in the early morning hours, and even cutting hydrangeas from people's home gardens, then quickly walking away.
Let's protect our properties and catch this thief. If you see someone fitting this description who looks suspicious e.g. walking with an armload of unwrapped flowers, especially in the early morning hours in or near the Community Garden, please call 911 and take a picture of the suspect if you can.

 Mark is finally taking a class that I can get excited about and help him with, floral design. This past year was torture because he would use me as a sound board to help memorize all his accounting stuff and boy is that boring! I seriously felt like he was speaking another language most of the time. But now, with floral design, I don't mind helping him at all. The other day I was talking about color schemes and not only could he follow what I was saying but he contributed to the conversation! In the past he laughed when I would talk about feng shui and how certain colors give feelings but now he actually agrees! He took the class to satisfy one of his generals in arts because a counselor told him it was an "easy A" class. Now I get to enjoy new flower arrangements every week and my kitchen looks like a mini greenhouse. The picture above is his latest work of art. He may be slightly embarrassed that I am making this post ;)

I am still working on my hexagon flowers. I made 6 of them yesterday. I still have to attach them to my wannabe quilt. I'll show that when I have the section I am currently working on done.
I took this photo outside at around 4:30pm today. It was really windy. But, what is that? A ray of sunshine? OMG! I had forgotten what sunshine is. So many rain days! And more to come. This is just a little tease from Mother Nature.
I have decided what I am going to give away. It's this little miniature quilt. The blocks are 3in. square when finished. Each block has 21 pieced in it. It is paper pieced. I have not sewn the block together. I will do that tomorrow. If you want to take part in my give away, just leave a comment on this or yesterday's post.
