Geocache Triggers Bomb Scare At Recycling Plant

A small plastic tube was discovered at the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Plant and triggered a bomb scare Monday morning in Petaluma, California. Unaware that it was part of a game, an employee reported the find to the plants office personnel, who in turn called the Petaluma Police Department.

Nevada Sends Geocaching Revenue To California

Geocachers from all over the world have mapped out their trips to Las Vegas this year to build up their cache finds. That is, until the Nevada Department of Transportation put its foot down a few weeks ago and archived the ET Highway series.
Unfortunately, the NDOT didn't realize how much of an impact this choice would make on local business owners. It appears geocachers were keeping businesses open during the winter, which is good because seasonal workers were given full time work.
