Colorado Springs Acupuncture - Pain Relief |
| It's taken a while but many Americans are now waking up to the numerous benefits of Acupuncture. Throughout the country, this ancient Chinese practice is becoming more widely accepted as a legitimate, effective way to treat pain as well as other physical and emotional ailments. Interest in: Acupuncture in Colorado Springs where I now practice and have my acupuncture clinic, not to mention other localities around the state and nation is growing and that growing interest will no doubt continue as more healthy, pain-free people speak out about how acupuncture has truly helped them. The theory behind acupuncture can be summed up in this way; the energy flow (called Qi - pronounced chee) in our bodies follows orderly pathways called meridians. When the Qi flows freely through these meridians, the body is balanced and in a state of health. However, when that energy flow is blocked due to physical or emotional stress or trauma, and it becomes stagnant, pain and eventually disease may result.Chronic pain or disease is the result of stagnant energy in a particular area over a long period of time. That original pain may have been ignored or the person experiencing the pain might have tried to medicate it away through the use of liver or kidney damaging drugs such as Tylenol or Advil, none of which got rid of the original cause of the pain. In fact, it might have had just the opposite effect and drove the pain deeper into the tissues.Acupuncture, on the other hand, works by using very thin, sterilized needles to open up the flow of blocked energy, thereby eliminating the cause of the pain. The highly trained Acupuncturist will place the needles in the appropriate places of the meridians that correlate with the pain or disease being treated. Within a very short period of time, depending on how chronic the condition, the newly released energy will once again flow freely, diminishing the pain and allowing the body to heal providing long term pain relief and increasing health to the body.Acupuncture has been very effective in treating a variety of pain such as fibromyalgia, chronic headaches, back pain, arthritic pain and even the horrible pain caused by shingles. There are even medical doctors who are now referring some patients for acupuncture when nothing they've tried from a traditional medical approach has helped. This alternative form of treatment for pain is safe and relatively non-invasive. The needles are designed to sit on the skin and top layers of fat. Occasionally they may reach a muscle. Once the needles are inserted they can be left in the patient for up to 30 minutes. During this time, the patient lies in a quiet room, usually with some relaxing music playing in the background. The treatment itself often promotes an overall sense of well-being and relaxation to the point of sleep for some.Rona Bian is a medical doctor from Tianjin, China and she now practices acupuncture in Colorado Springs. Why People Don't Choose An Invisalign Dentist For Invisible Braces |
| You may have heard the extraordinary claims recently which suggest that if you visit an Invisalign dentist you'll be able to have invisible braces fitted which are not only virtually undetectable, but can achieve the required teeth alignment in a fraction of the time taken by traditional metal wire braces.
